Goalkeeping Coaching Clinic
David Coles, one of the best goalkeeping coaches in the world will be
doing a two day goalkeeping coaching development clinic in Belfast on
the 24th and 25th May 2008. The two day event will be useful for goalkeeping
coaches to see how David goes about setting up coaching sessions and developing
young goalkeepers from the ages of 9 to 16. David will be also working
with Irish league goalkeepers on the second day.
David is the current goalkeeping coach at Portsmouth Football Club and
works with England’s number 1 goalkeeper David James. He was also
the goalkeeping coach at Southampton Football Club where he worked with
Antti Niemi.
The coaching will take place at the DUB playing fields, Belfast. The cost
will be £75 that includes lunch on both days. This is the first
time that a goalkeeping coaching development event like this has been
set up in Northern Ireland.

can go on and build from this to supply the demanding coaching needs of
our goalkeepers and coaches.
